When you purchase a Lister Lights instrument, the product  you hold in your hand represents decades of expertise in metallurgy, design, instrumentation, and dentistry .....knowledge that our founders gained over the years stretching back to the 1930's.

Our staff gained that expertise with time logged in places as varied as machine shops, commercial art studios, heat treatment facilities, steel fabrication plants, instrument repair studios, CNC computer design and.... chairside in the dental office. 

That expertise began to come together in the early 1980's when some present members of our staff started manufacturing "house brand" dental instruments for other companies. 

Since that time, however, the thought persisted that a lighter, easier-to-hold prophy instrument ought to be available to the hygienist, at a more reasonable price. 

The collective decision was to develop such an instrument and market it under our own name, factory-direct to our customers.
